By now we have been working together for 6 months and at 5 months in I’ve lost roughly 10-12 lbs, maybe a little bit more by the time February rolls around. I feel less fixated on numbers and obsessing about losing weight and more content with just taking it slow and developing better eating habits. Most importantly, the ability to weigh my decisions about food and what I choose to indulge in versus what I don’t. This weekend I was in Vermont with friends, gym friends no less, and someone made a comment about how it’s okay to indulge endlessly since it was a special weekend away celebrating our friends birthday. I just nodded along and thought to myself, “Thank god I don’t think like that anymore” and “thank god I’m not restricting so much I’m losing weight at a psychotic rate.” – Lauren
